• Pancakes.

At least one morning on the weekends we will make breakfast together. Or, one of us will make breakfast and the other will watch. It was my turn to watch. I love pancakes. I love waffles. I love syrup. I love breakfast. Love, RR

  • Modern Family.

Justin started watching Modern Family a few days ago. I have listened to so much laughter come out of his office that I finally decided to try it. Holy crap. I don’t know their names yet, but they are a couple with 3 kids. I have just seen our future. That. Will. Be. Us. Without a doubt. Yup. The awkwardness. The craziness. Wow. That will be us. and…. The Lion King just showed up. What is happening? This is the best thing ever.

  • Trivial Pursuit.

Saturday night was spent playing Trivial Pursuit with Justin and Jason (AKA Brother From Another Mother). I love board games and it was a blast. I don’t know if they felt the same, but who cares? Muahahaha. And of course, the first piece of pie I get is from an amazing guess on a freaking sports question. Who would have thought it? In the end, Justin won. I had almost made a comeback too! Grrr. During the course of the game I knew a lot of the answers to Justin’s questions which really got my goat. This little gem (bottom question) popped up which we had discussed during work one…

  • The Beard.

J started growing out his beard about a week before our wedding. At first he was just going to have it until after his best friend’s wedding in May, then he decided to go an entire year. So in honor of no shave November, he shaved it off on October 31st. However, he decided to do it in stages. Seriously. Why. He is definitely not a mustache man. Nope. They all looked horrible. Until this…!!! Ah, my handsome husband is back! -The Rebs

  • iZombie.

iZombie. My sister recommended this show to me last year. I only tried watching a teensy bit of an episode but I didn’t like it. Today I tried watching it again. I. Love. It. It’s so good. Every once in a while J comes out of his man cave to watch some. I adore so much about this show. The only zombie thing I like, or used to like, were the Resident Evil movies. However, they have started to get weirdy. I hate The Walking Dead and all that stuff. iZombie. So good. So so good. The general idea. Her hair. Her makeup. The accents. The fact that it isn’t…

  • Birthday.

Justin recently had a birthday. I will spare him and not release his age online. Muahaha. They recently got an office pet at his job and he got to spend some time with her.   He tried to torture me by taking the tape off the wrapping paper just to make it last longer. It did not work. When he came home from work, he played some WoW while I cleaned the apartment. Which meant I got to jam out with my headphones in to this beauty…

  • Smiley Martin

I recently talked to an old friend of mine from grade school. We weren’t just friends, we were BEST FRIENDS. You know the kind I’m talking about. Sleepovers, dressing alike, secrets, everything. We went our separate ways during high school and after and only recently have we been in touch with each other. She is also a blogger and I am so very excited to start following her new blog when she gets it up and running. During our conversation, she happened to call me Smiley Martin, a name I haven’t heard in a very long time. I have a hard time remembering, but apparently I was a very happy child.…

  • Sunday.

Today we went to J’s parents house to wash and wax the car. On the way there Justin gave me a tour of some places he went as a high schooler and we checked out the old family homestead. We took the back roads to his parents after that and we found a road with a sign. Minimum Maintenance Road. Travel At Your Own Risk. It sounded very promising. So we went down it, of course! It was a little rough. Or a lot rough. Either way. It wasn’t good. Then it just ended. So we had to turn around and go BACK down it again. We did finally make…

  • Red Lobster.

On Saturday we went to Topeka with Matt and Aubrey for a movie and dinner. After surviving all the construction, we luckily made it to see The Magnificent Seven right when it started. Whew! We went to Red Lobster for dinner afterwards and while waiting outside for our table, we had an even better show than the movie. Traffic in the parking lot was horrendous. Then, there was a van who couldn’t figure out how to park in between the lines. Which means that when another van tried to pull in to the next spot, there was a wee bit of scratching! One of the vehicles on the other side…
