Today we went to J’s parents house to wash and wax the car. On the way there Justin gave me a tour of some places he went as a high schooler and we checked out the old family homestead. We took the back roads to his parents after that and we found a road with a sign.
Minimum Maintenance Road. Travel At Your Own Risk.
It sounded very promising. So we went down it, of course!
It was a little rough. Or a lot rough. Either way. It wasn’t good. Then it just ended. So we had to turn around and go BACK down it again.
We did finally make it there for a late brunch and then we washed and waxed the car.
His dad has lots of fancy car washing things.
They also have a pond in the back yard with some fish that they cover with a net every fall. Apparently they vacuum out all the bad algae stuff before hand. I have never seen someone vacuum a pond before. It was interesting.
I’m just glad that i still half 1 1/2 days of vacation left. Thank God for holidays!
