• First Sleepover.

Silas got to sleepover at his grandparents this weekend (J’s parents). I am going back to work on the 18th and it was great to have a weekend to replenish myself. We went out for dinner. We played video games. I took a bubble bath. We went shopping, a couple times, but didn’t buy anything. I got things ready for daycare. I got things ready for me to return to work. I figured out my personal schedule. I meal prepped almost a months worth of food We slept!!! I got so many things done! Yes, I missed my little guy, but I knew I would be getting him back on…

  • Pregnancy.

Our little guy is almost 1 week old and I wanted to get this information out on ‘paper’ as soon as possible so I don’t forget most of it. Which means that this post will be quite lengthy. A lot of this may just be for me to look back on as time goes by, but maybe there will be something in here that someone will read and realize they are not so alone in their journey. That I went through it also. We found out I was pregnant mid-February 2020 and it was one of the best days of my life. I hadn’t had a period since around Thanksgiving…

  • Nightmares.

Holy cow. I have been having the most insane dreams! They happen every single night, and have only been getting more and more bizarre. One night I had a dream about Justin’s ex-girlfriend moving in with us. The next, the pandemic had turned into a true apocalypse. It felt like we were living in a movie. Cars had no gas. People weren’t really living in homes. Stores were empty husks. People killing each other for food. And we had a baby who was the size of my hand that we were trying to keep alive (he’s bigger than that inside my body right now!)! Then I had one where my…

  • Thing 1.

We have some exciting news! Baby Falter will be joining us in October 2020. We have been trying/not really trying for quite a few years now, and I think we are both still kind of in shock, even though we are halfway there! We had our 20 week ultrasound this past week and I had been debating for weeks if we would find out the gender. From the moment we found out I was pregnant, I was adamant that we would NOT find out. As the weeks have gone by, I started wavering. Finally, a few days before our appointment I made the decision to let Justin make the decision.…

  • MM 100: Week 5.

Workouts 32 – ? Monday So..my weeks have gotten a bit mixed up. Not sure where I am with keeping things up to date. So I’m just going to resume here, even though I might actually be on week 6. Oh well! Today was upbeat strength. I varied somewhere between 5 pounds and 10 lb for the workouts. My knees have been bothering me a lot lately but luckily with this workout I only had to modify the hundred second challenge. Oh and one of the warm ups. I do not want to get on my knees on our living room floor right now because that hurts. I did some…

  • MM 100: Week 4.

Monday I had a lot of things to catch up on today, so I decided just be smart with food and eat good stuffs and take care of my mental health. Tuesday I am back with it! Got home and immediately did workouts 37 and 38! Downbeat Strength and Fight Club. It felt really good! The End Aaand once again, this week was over before I realized it even began. How does this happen? I only did workouts once this week. We also had our co-rec volleyball championships this week (we got 2nd place – boooo), so I count that as cardio. I let myself down and I have to…

  • Clever Fox Weekly Planner.

I adore planners. I like lists. I love calendars. Organization is life. And sometimes I kind of stink at it. But I like to pretend that I’m good at it! 🙂 Fake it til ya make it. We (and by that, I mean Justin) found the Clever Fox Weekly Planner on Amazon. Lots of color options which actually made things difficult. I wanted 5 different ones! They also have a couple different versions. There is an undated (which I have), dated, and then even a Pro, but I have no idea what all is involved in that. I chose the undated because the monthly view has a ‘Plan’ section and…

  • The Predators Inside You.

“Listen, girl, there is nothing fragile about you. Inside you rest a host of predators, waiting to be unleashed at your command. Like a scorpion, you must sting when you are endangered, and let your poison paralyse your enemies. Like a lioness, you must hunt those that threaten you, and raise cubs who are agile hunters like yourself. Like a cobra, glide effortlessly passed your hypnotized enemies, only sinking your fangs into those who have wronged you. Like a shark, you must circle your enemy, define it’s movements, striking only when you know it well. Those who mistreat you, will tell you you are fragile, they will convince you that…

  • MM 100: Week 3.

Workouts 21 – 34 Monday I got my workouts in, but barely. Meh. Tuesday I have been crazy tired this week. I can’t quite figure out why. I took a nap yesterday and a nap today! What the heck! It’s getting a bit ridiculous. Wednesday Weigh in: 183.4 to 183.4: No change, which I honestly expected. I had a pretty decent number last week, so I wasn’t really expecting anything this week. But hopefully next week will show another difference. My workouts today were great! I didn’t really want to do them, but when I got home Justin was doing his, so I grabbed my laptop and went in the…

  • Two-Thousand and Twenty.

I’m not going to lie, 2019 did not go the way I had planned. I had planned on losing a lot of weight, I had planned on being healthier. I had planned on really focusing on my blog. I had planned on lots of things. It didn’t happen. Instead, I actually gained more weight. My health level is about the same, still struggling to get my thyroid under control and I’m on a new medication for a weird-ass reflux thing with my sinuses. With 2020 comes a new decade, and this time I really am ready to make a change. I am 30 years old, it’s time to get serious…
