I adore romance novels, or at least I used to. Until I got married. Now, half the time they just piss me off. Honestly, if Justin would ever talk to me the way some of those men do…. I can’t decide if I would get divorced, or just cut his balls off. I used to love love love Nora Roberts. But it has probably been at least 2 years since I have read one of her books. I mean, in reality, she has written so many novels that it probably makes sense why she uses the same phrasing over and over…and over…and over in every single book she writes. I…

Losing Weight.
Justin told me that if I really want to lose weight, I need to be held accountable from more than just him. When he lost all of his weight, he put it online and recommended I did too. So, here it goes: Height: 5′ 5″ Weight: 170 lbs approx. Size: 14/16 or around 34 My goal: To either be down to 128 lbs or around a size 6 by the end of the year. So now that I’ve put it out there on the internet, let’s see if I can actually do this.

The First Sunburn of the Season.
Welp. I finally got my first sunburn of the season. I went golfing with Justin one Saturday and this happened… Mind you, this was a couple weeks after it happened. It has finally calmed down and has fully healed (I think). Since turning 30, I’ve been pretty religious about using sunscreen on exposed areas, but I completely for about the fact my hair was up that day. You win some, you lose some. Love ya! RR.

I’m 30!
I turned 30 in March! I’ve been thinking a lot about that day for the past year. What I want my 30’s to be like, what I want to do, how this will impact the rest of my left, etc. The past couple years have really been about trying to lose weight, get fit, only eat good foods, exercise more, blah blah blah. But now that it’s actually here, I have a different list in mind. So here it is. The 10 items I want to spend the next year focusing on. Family. A cousin of mine died the weekend before my birthday, before he even turned 60. Helps put…

Movie Review: Hunt for the Labyrinth Killer (2013)
Alright people. Saturday night. I couldn’t really decide what to watch, so I was browsing through Hulu and found Hunt for the Labyrinth Killer from 2013. The cover image looked stupid, but I decided to watch the trailer. It seriously looked as though the trailer actually gave away who the killer was! What?! So that of course means that I had to try watching it. Which also means I am going to ‘live’ blog this movie. Enjoy the ride guys. News flash: There are spoilers coming, so if you haven’t yet seen this movie, proceed at your own risk. But also, this movie is from 2013 so come on now.…

I Have A Stupid Question…
Okay, raise your hands ladies. How many of you have said this? I’m guessing most of you. I used to do that. I would probably say that before every question I asked. Then one day at work, about 2 years ago, my boss held a meeting for my department. You see, my department was all women and there was one thing she was done hearing. Can you guess what it was? That’s right: “I have a stupid question”. She was done. She never wanted to hear any of us say that again. Do you know why? You’re putting yourself down every time you say that. No boss wants a stupid…

The Joys of Sinus Problems.
I’ve got some pretty mad sinus problems. I have tried so many things: pills, rinses, nasal sprays and so on. My doctor recently recommended seeing an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) specialist. I just, I don’t want to spend the money on that right now. So I had to find another option. I turned to the one thing I said I would never do. I turned to essential oils. Yup. I did it. I got an oil diffuser and right in front of me was a 3-pack of oils for sinus, sleep and immunity. The only pack left. I guess it was just meant to be. Right? And guess what? It…

2010 Bucket List.
For Christmas, I had asked my mother for a sewing basket. In that basket was a piece of my youth. My aunt had included an old bucket list I had made while I was living with her. Let’s see… Skydive Dance like no one is watching Write a book Find God Kiss a stranger Learn to belly dance Learn the guitar Start waking up at 5 a.m. Go to Africa Pay off credit cards (we once again have credit card debt, but I had paid off them all at one point) Learn a foreign language Shoot a gun Get married Golf Learn to surf Go bowling in a prom dress…

Angel Food Cake Recipe.
When I think of Angel Food Cake, I always think of my Grandma, my dad’s mom. She always made a homemade angel food cake for every family get together. After she died, my Aunt Mariane started making them. From there, I started making them for the county fair. Aside from last year, when I made one for my f-i-l, I hadn’t made on in years. I love making them! Except for the fact it takes what seems like 1 million eggs (in reality, 14), it’s super easy to make! Try for yourself and enjoy! (p.s. You will need an Angel Food Cake pan!) It takes lots of mixing. (shout out…
