Some friends of ours gifted us/Silas the most precious Christmas gift ever. The ABC’s of Gaming: An alphabet book for little gamers This is the cutest little book I’ve ever seen! My favorite page is actually at the very end where the little controller is tucked into bed! It makes my heart feel all fuzzy. Thanks Megan & Paul! I can’t wait for Silas to really enjoy this book!

What I Watched on Maternity Leave.
We had our baby at the end of October. I was lucky enough to get to take 12 weeks, thank God. Once I was in that situation I couldn’t have imagined being able to function enough to go back to work at 6 weeks. I would have been insane. Because I had 12 weeks, I had a lot of time to watch TV because holy hell…newborns are boring. I decided to share the list of shows and movies I watched during the past 3 months. Our Decision to Formula Feed.
When our baby was born, he had a problem with sucking and swallowing. The medical personnel struggled to figure out what was going on because apparently that is more of a preemie problem, and our guy was full term. Because of this, after spending about 48 hours in the hospital trying to breastfeed the lactation consultant asked if we could do some formula to just get him fed because we were starting to see complications from him not getting nutrients. Snow Days
Snow is coming in Kansas. Most likely. I mean, it’s about time. I have realized that since I have a child, snow days as I’ve known them no longer exist. Even if I wanted to work from home, I would still have to leave the house to take him to daycare. That’s stupid. These are the things no one tells you about having kids ….
